 Flake, Live, or Frozen

Special Requirements:
 These fish can be a little territorial if not schooled with other minnows. Other than that, treat them as you would any standard tropical fish.
Spawning:
 Occurs from May-August. This species is a cave-spawner.
Notes:

These fish can be very active. A school of them makes a great addition to any tank. If kept outdoors, the Bluntnose Minnow feeds primarily on the bottom, and also on surface insects. The Minnow is a very prolific pond species. Please follow all federal, state, and local regulations concerning stocking fish in ponds.
